В Соединенных Штатах Америки проходят выборы 46-го президента страны. Борьбу за пост главы государства ведут действующий президент Дональд Трамп, выдвинутый от Республиканской партии, и экс-вице-президент, кандидат от Демократической партии Джозеф Байден.

Голосование за будущего президента страны началось еще в полночь 3 ноября. По традиции первыми свой выбор сделали жители коммуны Диксвилл-Нотч в штате Нью-Гэмпшир.

Трамп объявил о победе на выборах в США

Для победы на выборах кандидату в президенты необходимо заручиться поддержкой 270 из 538 членов коллегии выборщиков, состав которой формируется по итогам голосования в каждом отдельном штате. Число членов коллегии соответствует общему числу сенаторов (100) и членов Палаты представителей (435).

Согласно последним данным, Байден получил поддержку 238 выборщиков, а Трамп - 213.

При этом аналитики пророчат победу действующему президенту страны. Согласно их подсчетам, демократ может победить еще только в одном штате США, в то время как у республиканца есть все шансы взять лидерство в оставшихся еще шести регионах.
