На Украине уже неделю не могут потушить лесной пожар в Чернобыльской зоне. Ситуация стала критичной, так как огонь подбирается к городу Припять и печально известной АЭС.

Лесной пожар в Чернобыльской зоне отчуждения вспыхнул еще 4 апреля. Возгорание произошло около села Владимировка в Киевской области.

Несмотря на то, что всю неделю пожарные пытаются потушить огонь, пламя распространяется все быстрее. По  уже достиг города Припять, расположенный в трех километрах от печально известной Чернобыльской АЭС. Именно на ней весной 1986-го взорвался четвертый блок, что стало крупнейшей атомной катастрофой.

По словам члена общественного совета при Госагентстве Украины по вопросам управления зоной отчуждения Ярослав Емельяненко, огонь практически подошел к хранилищам с высокоактивными радиационными отходами "Подлесный".

Пламя направляется к Чернобыльской АЭС, из-за дующего в ту сторону ветра.

Он отметил, что также в районе горит трава на дамбе водохранилища-охладителя по правому берегу Припяти.

Украинские правоохранители выяснили, что возгорание в Чернобыльской зоне отчуждения произошло из-за поджога. Личность злоумышленника уже установлена.

В настоящее время лесной пожар возле Чернобыльской АЭС пытаются потушить почти 400 пожарных и 90 единиц техники.
